June Wilkinson
As a child, June was brought up in the business. On a Saturday morning June and her brothers always knew what time it was not by the clock but by what Ballet Grade her mother's pianist was playing - they lived on the premises. As the years went by she always danced and was taught by her mother. In her teens she took her first teaching exam. She went on to train in Theatre, TV, Costume and Set Design. Having worked in London Theatres, she returned to Leeds to take up a post as Costume Supervisor at the Leeds Playhouse now named the West Yorkshire Playhouse. June has also worked at YTV and TVS South.
In 1985 her partnership with her mother began, over the years there has been a never ending Masters Dance Degree. June is a Fellowship of the IDTA in several subjects and is constantly studying the  syllabus changes.
Along with all the grades thats June teaches she is head of the Competition Team at Armley Dance, bringing out the best in every child in a theatrical sense. June believes every individual child has a personality and style that she can develop into the best performer they can possibly be. Whether your child is balletic, a tapper, singing and musical theatre, upside down acrobat or a comedy genius June hopes to bring the best out of them.
June has seen many students pass through the school and move into the profession from small local shows to worldwide tours. These include dancers, singers, actors and circus performers who all come back to visit their original training ground.
"I enjoy all the dancers I teach from toddlers in nappies, teens in dangly bangles and seniors with a love life ahead!"

Boys
Boy dancers are always more than welcome in this school - We have a very good reputation for the boys we have produced.
